Blocker extraordinaire

How did you come up with your derby name?: Blazing like the molotov cocktail and frustrating to the opposite gender, Molotov Coqtiz was really my only name choice. (See also the Venture Bros. cartoon)
How and when did you get involved in roller derby? : In the summer of ’10 I was drawn to the rink by my natural rage and desire to hit people. Also a good friend suggested I look into it.
Have you had any derby-related serious injuries? : Nothing too serious to keep me off the track, but there have certainly been enough blisters, bruises, floor burns, and Velcro scratches to keep Band-Aid in business.
Favorite position to play and why: : I enjoy the Pivot position for the ability to stand on the pivot line. This allows me the chance to get my team in a position to control the pack. And then I can hit the bojangles out of the other team.
What kind of skates and wheels do you use?: Riedell’s Wicked 265 boots on Atom G-Rod 1.0 or Atom Poison wheels. Don’t forget my Bones bearings that keep me rolling smooth as silk.
What’s your favorite rookie moment?: I’ll never forget the days on the rookie track when it was normal to kick fallen skaters in the gut during sprinting drills. New Pound Glory is a pleasure to trip over.
Most exciting moment in your derby career?:

What do you do on game day:

Favorite team to play against and why?:

Making the All-Star team early in the ’11 season. I’m still drinking in celebration of that.

Drink water all morning, then before heading to the rink I have a relaxing shower and post-shower solo dance-a-thon.

The CoMo Derby Dames are a classy bunch of ladies. Our games together are always such nail-biters, which makes for a better after party.

What’s your favorite drink?: Two Sam Adams at a time (so my hands don’t get lonely).
