How long have you played derby?
I started playing in August of 2010.
How did you get started playing derby?
My brother was an NSO when I was in high school, so he got me involved as soon as I was old enough to play.
What is the hardest moment you have over come since joining derby? What have been some of your proudest derby accomplishments?
I broke my fibula in June and was out of the game for a while. It’s been a rocky time coming back and trying to become the athlete I used to be. I haven’t been able to perform nearly as well as I want to, but with the help of my amazing team I was able to score a 25 point jam at one of our recent games. I have a long road ahead of me, but I’ll get there.
Do you have any bout day rituals?
I listen to this pop song called “Body Bag” by Hit the Lights. It puts me in a good mood, and it’s mildly threatening, so that’s always fun.
Who would you say is your biggest derby supporter or ‘superfan’?
My husband, Tim. He has a shirt he wears to every bout that says “Fabulously Flashed” on the back. He’s my rock after long practices and hard games.
What is something that most people don’t know about you?
I’m an avid follower of professional wrestling. I have weird/obsessive nicknames for my favorite wrestlers, and no one understands my struggle.
What are three things you cannot live without?
Lipstick, protein, and my furbabies.
Who is your derby idol?
Bonnie Thunders ❤❤❤
