Welcome to the home of the Springfield Roller Girls, Southwest Missouri’s premier all-female flat track roller derby league. SRG strives to empower local women by offering them an alternative way to stay physically fit, as well as an opportunity to become part of a strong sisterhood. Encouraging good sportswoman-ship above all else, we put a high priority on giving back to our community, too.

The Springfield Roller Girls are members of the South Central Region of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association.

Springfield Roller Girls Announce New Home Venue

As most of you are aware by now, we held our home opener this past Sunday (March 9, 2014), which was also the last bout we will host at Skateport. Skateport is scheduled to be torn down later this year in order for MoDOT to extend Independence Road through the intersection at Glenstone Avenue. We love Ted Hall, and everything he has done for us since our inception. However, we must move on.

Before we make the big announcement (in the next paragraph for those wanting to “fast forward”), we have got to take this opportunity to thank all of our fans that came out to cheer us on last weekend. We lost to the Mo-Kan Roller Girlz by a pretty good margin, we could not have been happier or played harder for a better crowd. Our fans have always been good to us at Skateport, and we hope that continues as we transition into our new home.

Alright, so here it is…. our new home venue is REMINGTON’S!

Be sure to check out their announcement as well as other events they have going on! We are so excited about the opportunities that this partnership will provide. We have so many great ideas on how to utilize this new space. Keep an eye out for further announcements regarding sponsorship opportunities, advertising opportunities, and so much more!

Also, don’t forget to check out our Events page to see where we will be out and about at in our community in the coming weeks!

Featured Skater:

APRIL SKATER OF THE MONTH, DosHOUSE!

#626 is in her second season skating, and she is a force to be reckoned with. She jams, she pivots, she blocks…. This lady does it all on the track! She is also the Head of our Social/Morale Committee, as well as Team Captain. She encourages her teammates both on and off the track, and works hard to improve herself.

Congratulations to DosHOUSE, our April 2014 Skater of the Month!
